Pinon/Pinyon Incense

This Pinon Incense is made with the leaves and ground wood of real Pinon Pine from the desert Southwest. Most commercial Pinon incenses you will find are scented with perfume and/or essential oils and tend to smell more like Chanel #5 than anything you are likely to bump into in the Grand Canyon. Because this incense is made with real ground Pinon wood, it smells like the real thing. Pinon pine is found in abundance throughout the moutainous and higher elevation plataeu country of the Southwest and has a wonderful smokey, sweet aroma. This incense always reminds me of what it’s like to sleep in the desert with the smell of a crackling Pinon campfire in the air. (40 sticks)

Douglas Fir

No tree is more deeply identified with the Pacific Northwest than Douglas Fir. Second in size only to the two California Sequoia species, Douglas Fir grows to enormous proportions and forms pure stands over much of the Northwest. When burned, it has a wonderfully cozy, woodsmoke scent that might remind you of that time you camped on the Oregon Coast underneath the moss bejeweled grandaddy trees, and the light scent of Doug Fir campfires hung in the air as night settled in. So enjoy this reminder of the big tree and sea, mossy rock and glacier country of the Pacific Northwest.

Western Juniper

If you’ve ever been to the Grand Canyon and nudged perilously close to the edge of a 1,000 foot drop-off and wondered what that insane tree jutting out from the side of the cliff was, it was Juniper. Juniper covers vast portions of the Southwest and seems happily at home clinging to small ledges on sheer Navajo sandstone cliffs, or peeking up between boulders on precipitous slopes. This incense captures the subtly sweet, cinnamon-like scent of Juniper and is reminiscent of backcountry campfires in the mesa and canyon country of the Southwest.

Port Orford Cedar

Port Orford Cedar is my favorite western cedar. It is found in the coastal mountains of northwestern California and southwestern Oregon, and has a distinctively pungent, gingery scent that is unique among the cedars of the West and comes across very nicely in this incense. (40 sticks)

White Sage Incense

It seems so strange to me that no one makes a White Sage incense that is just pure, 100% real White Sage. White Sage has such a rich, sagey scent when it’s burned, why Nag Champafy it and make it smell all perfumey? And yet, every other “sage” or “White Sage” incense out there smells more like the community room in a yoga commune than any White Sage I’ve ever bumped into out on the trail. Are those other incense manufacturers lazy, or do they just not care? I suppose it’s probably their customers who don’t know the difference or care, but you do. Here it is folks, the world’s first and only 100% White Sage incense with all the magic of real White Sage, because, well, that’s all it is. (40 sticks)

TIP: Don't use Antibacterial Soaps. Antibacterial is an additive in many soaps and household cleaners. Approximately seventy five percent of all liquid soaps contain antibacterial ingredients. According to a study from the Columbia University School of Nursing in New York, antibacterial products do little to prevent illness. Using them in your home is overkill and can create resistant super-bugs. It is much better to just wash your hands thoroughly with a good natural soap and warm water.
